Excellent service excellent food. Matty the owner was super accomodating for us and when we ate we immediately booked again for the next day the food was that great. Resort food was meh... this was exceptional. He remembered us and went out of his way to make us feel like home. And a local in big sky recommended this place as well.

This is such a wonderful restaurant at Big Sky Resort - if you’re visiting the ski area, you should definitely make the effort to come here at least once. We’ve been coming here for many years and have always been extremely happy with the food and service. Prices were high, yes - but that’s expected at a ski resort. If you come here, you MUST try the brie in puff pastry because it is to die for, and their bison and elk dishes are fantastic as well. I don’t think they have their bison ribs anymore, but if they bring them back, definitely try them. However, this is one of those places where you could try pretty much anything on the menu and be very happy, so you can bring a large group and everyone will leave satisfied! All in all, a great place, and one we will continually come back to each year we visit Big Sky!

I had the best bison I’ve ever tasted here—absolutely delicious! While the service was a little on the slower side, the incredible food more than made up for it.

We came in and were nervous because we were the only customers in the restaurant but it was 8:30pm, but a few more reservations trickled in after us. Maté was our server and he was excellent and recommended his favorites. One of them was the bison meatballs and they were incredibly, we could’ve eaten 3 more orders. We also got the trout entree and the elk, both were lick the plate delicious (the elk was top tier). I feel like this place is super underrated. Highly recommend!

The Cabin is a wonderful restaurant. Starting from the service and ending with the food, everything was perfect during our visit to this spot. We were greeted well and the waiter was also very attentive and friendly. He was coming to the table several times and was around if we needed anything. The menu had a good selection of foods, and the two dishes that we tried were amazing. The pork chop was cooked perfectly, and the pheasant was delicious. This restaurant deserves its high rating. We had a fantastic experience.

Great place for lunch. Not crowded like all the other places. The Halibut sandwich is excellent!

Great place to try some high quality meats and modern dishes. Came here with a group of 6 for dinner and basically tried 80% of the menu with dessert, multiple drinks and it was less than 800 of the total bill, not bad for the 6 of us(all things considered). Our favorites were the bison tenderloin, the elk tip special and the mussels appetizer. The only mediocre thing was the brie appetizer and the cheese cake dessert. The mussels were most of the table’s favorite, and they were really good, I just personally thought the flavors were too pungent for the delicate meat entrees served afterwards and just not sure how the flavors of the dish fits into the overall concept of the menu but as a standalone dish it might be the best tasting dish on the menu. Highly recommended for a special dinner, a little more pricey than the average but it was our last night and we wanted something special and the place did not disappoint! Make sure you get reservations though! Could not get a table otherwise. Highly recommend.

We have eaten here for years. The new owner has done a wonderful job. The petite filets and the walleye are two of our favs. The bartender, Michael, makes a great dirty martini
